History
Rock Cottage has been owned by my family since 1968 when it was just over 100 years old and virtually in its original state!
It was then modernised in a way sympathetic to its age, so interesting features were retained, including that of the large stone bacon salting slab and winding stone staircase.

Over the years further upgradings have been carried out, the latest involving installation of new efficient storage heaters and completion of rebuilding the dry stone garden walls.
In 2004 a new patio across the stream was created.
Edged by a flower border and dry stone wall, it provides a peaceful private sunny spot to relax and enjoy the mountain views. Fortunately the beautiful countryside around the cottage has changed very little over the years, making this an ultimate rural retreat.
